My issues with @JetBlue from this week’s events are the lies and the silence. You can’t strand people far from home w/ no options – nor leave them on the hook for 3h (or more). JetBlue was my favorite airline, and now I’m so angry I wrote a 12-tweet thread PSA against them. 11/

This saga doesn’t even cover our issues en route to PHX, where our 1h delay crept to 5h with minimal communication, and we arrived in PHX at 1a (4a EST). (The in-flight crew was wonderful, as they always are. I do not blame in-flight staff for any of this.) 10/

In the end, we book @AmericanAir for Friday (Thu flights have ballooned to $600+/seat) and thx to AA, actually make it home Sat AM. We were SO lucky that a last minute $700 flight was not an unbearable financial burden & our gracious Phoenix friends hosted us for the night. 9/

We finally accept we’d have to book a last minute flight with another airline, which at last search was $300+/seat. We ask for flight transfer credit assistance, hotel, any sort of compensation, but the best @JetBlue offers is a refund. Then ends the chat. 8/

On my support text chain, we explain we’re stranded across the country. It is Thursday at 6p and the best she offers us is Saturday at 9p for a rebook - 2 days out. “There are no seats available” for anything in the next 48+h apparently. 7/

Next door, United tells us @JetBlue won’t show up until 2h before a scheduled flight, and no one has been in today. With ours canceled, the next supposed flight is a 10p, so no one will be at the counter til 8p. 6/

We’re driving back from Sedona, so around 5p we finally are back in Phoenix. We make our way to the airport to see if we can talk to someone at the counter at least. At 5:30p two things happen: I finally get a CS text reply, and we discover @JetBlue has no one at PHX at all. 5/

The customer service line tells me it’ll be a 90-minute wait, so I accept the “text me when JetBlue is ready” option. By the time the text bot sends me a waiting room link, the wait now says over 2h. In the interim I send @JetBlue a DM, to which I will never receive a reply. 4/

JetBlue says in app they’re looking into options and will notify me when they figure it out. (Spoiler alert: they never do.) When I try to Manage Trip, per @JetBlue’s suggestion, they show no flights and later even clear my reservation altogether. At this point I call CS. 3/

I was supposed to fly Phoenix to Boston (PHX > BOS) Thurs @ 9p. 2:30p I get a push notification the flight is canceled for no reason. (While checking in, I’d saw it was relatively full, so lack of capacity was not the issue.) 2/

I’ve been a loyal @JetBlue customer for 10+ years, to the point I would oft proselytize it to friends and family. Given how I was treated this week, I don’t think I’ll be flying JetBlue again. 1/
