Cataloging is complete for 1,268 manuscripts microfilmed at Universitätsbibliothek Graz in #Austria. Many of these manuscripts came from monasteries closed during the reforms of Emperor Joseph II in the 18th century. More info: https://t.co/fuXMaRYYoJ

Phase two, which was underway at the time of the invasion, is with Eyes on Heritage, digitizing the manuscript collection of a scholar closely associated with the Mosque; that work is currently suspended.

Phase one of these projects was the digitization of the collection of the Great Omari Mosque itself. This work was completed, and the manuscripts were cataloged by HMML staff and are available online through HMML Reading Room ( https://t.co/6HDFIhIPM6).

HMML's digitization projects in Gaza are with Eyes on Heritage & the Great Omari Mosque, both joint projects of HMML & the British Library Endangered Archives Programme. HMML is most closely involved with the management of the projects, training, cataloging, & online access.
