@agniis_eg Thank you to the artists for joining this curatorship! I feel there’s a shared aesthetics of the strange that I’d love to keep exploring.

@agniis_eg (Brasil) builds surreal landscapes by drawing on elements from the 2000s internet. Through saturation, they create a rhizomatic territory where their work speaks both to that era and to their own contemporaneity, amid the renewed interest in shitposting aesthetics.

The work of @Solz (Argentina) made me wonder: what elements make up a landscape? Between a suggested figuration and a brilliant abstraction, it evokes an indecipherable preciousness. Its magical palette makes you want to inhabit those colorful universes🌟

@no_tan__mariana (Argentina) presents a landscape constructed from geometric forms that inaugurate a digital landscape, dynamic and saturated. At the same time, elements that evoke wingdings introduce a -apparently- naïve softness that contrasts with the rigidity of these forms

@777humdrum777 (Argentina) brings us intervened video as a way of constructing the landscape, where the artist incorporates traditional and spiritual elements to create a scene typical of Latin America and of the northern region of our country.

I was particularly drawn to the work of @leinyyu (Colombia), who uses photo-performance to inhabit the landscape of the Santa Fe coastline in Argentina, incorporating elements to build a personal poetics.

I was very interested in @rhatalia (Argentina) works, where through the use of graphite and paper she draws nymphs in the river, constructing the landscape with a strong oneiric presence that emerges from these characters filled with strangeness and delicate disproportions

How is a landscape constructed from affect? From which figures can a landscape be built? What is, at its essence, a landscape? These are some of the questions that emerge throughout this journey.
