Got hired as an Assistant Professor at a top 5 Japanese University, and the first thing I get in my email is a notice about my previous email address at the same institution expiring cos I changed positions 🙃.

I will say more: y’all only care about rockets and space missions that much because of cold war politics and science fiction. They could’ve made the science prowess measuring unit reaching the centre of the planet, and people would be caring about that instead.

I say “imperfections” here with the utmost respect. When you only see the reproductions of these, you can’t see the sections that were erased and inked again. It makes me much more comfortable in my own art to see them.

Went to the Junji Ito exhibition in Fukuoka and saw all the original, ink-on-paper iconic panels. Load in high quality to see all the details (and imperfections!)

Before I learned charcoal during my undergrad, I used to draw with lines, delimiting edges and closing off spaces first. After charcoal, I just love to sketch using volumes of light and shadow, to then refine with edges. If you haven't tried it, give it a go, it's really fun.

Speaking like crashing Fallout 4 is an achievement. I made my save unusable because I placed too many walls (8) on the second floor of a settlement.
