Grischa Niermann on yesterday’s issue: ."That was my responsibility. I assessed the situation and I was sure that the big group with Jonas would come back easily, so I told the guys in front to stay there. In the end, the way I saw it from the car wasn't how it really was."

🎙️ Jonas, you seem like more relaxed, making some jokes than we used to with you. Is this something you try to work on?. Jonas: "No. I don't care. People can think whatever they want about me. I don't care about my image."

🎙️ Did you already see some weaknesses from Tadej?. "No, he’s looked really strong so far. I think he's one of the most complete riders in the peloton, so he doesn't have many weaknesses."

🗣️ Jonas Vingegaard: "We have to attack, Let's be honest. I'm more than 4 minutes behind. But you can only look foward. If you stop believing, then for sure it will not happen."

🎙️ What happened in the subsequent phase?.Jonas Vingegaard: "The only thing I can tell you is that I was sitting in the second group, and we started chasing the front group, and I don't know what happened there."

🗣️ Jonas on the crash at the start:."I thought I had escaped, but then someone hit my bike and I almost went down, you could say, but I wasn't hurt at all. But the chain fell off, so I had to put it on and come back. Then there was a group out in front."

🗣️ Jonas Vingegaard: "I actually expected Tadej to go on the last climb, because in the second last climb they sped up like they wanted to go for the stage win. Then when I realized that probably he will not try, then I just decided to do it myself."

🎙️ What's the plan behind having Kuss and Yates in the break?. Jonas Vingegaard: "Yeah, basically to go for the stage. We wanted to try to win the stage with one of them. They couldn't follow Arensman, but he did a good job, so congratulations to him."

🗣️ Jonas on stage 14:."It was probably one of the hardest mountain stages I've ever done. To do that performance at the end of such a day is obviously nice."

🗣️ Jonas Vingegaard: ."I still believe in myself and in the level that I have. And I think today, then, yeah, I was just back to normal. I just have to, yeah, keep on trying."

🗣️ Jonas Vingegaard: "Yesterday was very disappointing, but I also know that the level I showed yesterday was not my normal level. So, yeah, it's not like I lose the belief in myself."

🎙️ Was it the heat yesterday?."I don't think it was the heat. I don't know what it was, and to be honest, it was my second bad day on the tour this year, and normally, I don't have any bad days. So, of course, I don't hope to have any more bad days."

🗣️ Jonas on performance of Stage 12:."Yesterday was a terrible day for us. I actually felt quite good until the final climb, but then, all of a sudden, the lights just went out. So to be able to come back like this today feels really good, and we’re super happy with it."

🗣️ Jonas Vingegaard: "I think yesterday was probably one of my worst performances, and today was one of my best. So, of course, it's nice to come back like this, and yeah, I think I can be happy at least, and I did everything I could."
