Kicking off the first day of school right with some 200 donuts for the Brown County middle school and high school!

Today I sat in a community meeting where the conversation was: should we build a waste water treatment plant and raise taxes or continue to let people run sewage into county streams and lakes and pollute the water ways. The room was not in agreement. Disasters are not natural.

A while back our sign lost a fight with age and a good windstorm. Today The Salvation Army Brown County is once again affixed with a sign. I feel real proud of myself for getting this bad boy hung.

The Salvation Army of Bloomington was invited to pray at Walmart's grand reopening, once again demonstrating our long-standing commitment to cooperation and collaboration in our pursuit to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human need in His name without discrimination.

Salary - expected to raise your own support

Late Monday a request was received by The Salvation Army in Sullivan Indiana to find an alternative way to get meals to those on the silver street corridor. In response, team members have begun to utilize a UTV to better reach workers and survivors with meals.

The Salvation Army is up bright and early in Sullivan Indiana serving biscuits & gravy on the Silver street corridor & western end of the county as crew continue to remove debris and respond to Friday's storm. We are expected to serve over 500 meals across the community today.

The Salvation Army Sullivan Indiana mobilized in the aftermath of a tornado Friday night, opening shelter at City Hall for displaced families. Focus transitioned into providing food, hydration, and emotional and spiritual care to those working inside of the highest impact zones.
