Vice Speaker of @Kenesh_kg Mr. Primov thanked UNDP for the support and expressed his interest that the legislation and the strengthening of Parliament will stay as a priority in a new programme cycle.

Deputy Chair of @OkmotKG Mr. @baisalov emphasized the importance to closely review the strategic document from national priorities' angle and ensure that #Kyrgyzstan's interests are reflected.

Today we have presented national partners the draft country programme document for 2023-2027 developed in extensive consultations with partners. The document is aligned with national priorities, #SDGs, and #UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.

Resident Representative Louise @ChamberlainSDGs invited partners to share their final comments and feedback on the country programme document for 2023-2027 for its further endorsement. #greeneconomy, #goodgovernance, #ClimateChange were identified as priority areas.

Today we are at Kyrgyzstan’s first-ever creative industry festival #CREATE4KG 🇰🇬 The Creative Economy not only contributes economically, but also creates a more socially cohesive society as a driver and enabler of sustainable development.

UNDP highly appreciates efforts of the Government and President Japarov in recognizing the creative economy as a priority area in national policy. The creative economy represents a decentralised economic model with favorable conditions for development and the private sector.

“UNDP is ready to support these efforts and accompany Kyrgyzstan on this journey, and we will continue to build alliances with national partners and private sector to deepen and accelerate the engagement of creative industries in achieving the SDGs through innovative approaches.”
