Six Syrian refugees including children, women and teenagers lost their lives at sea. They died of thirst, hunger and severe burns. This is unacceptable. Strengthening rescue at sea is the only way to prevent these tragedies. @UNHCRItalia is in Pozzallo to help the survivors.

Wheat is the backbone of Syria’s agriculture sector. To respond to a looming food crisis in NE Syria, @USAID delivered 3k metric tons of high-quality wheat to farmers. After months of growing, farmers are harvesting 35k tons of wheat this season! #SeedsforSyria🌾

To prevent a food crisis in #Syria, USAID sent nearly 3,000 metric tons of wheat seeds directly to farmers. Now they've harvested 35,000 tons of wheat to supply to bakeries. Power to the farmers! ✊ #SeedsforSyria🌾
