If the American political media was really doing its job, they'd be asking if Trump's wild policy swings on tariffs were a sign of his age and cognitive decline. If Joe Biden had crashed the economy on purpose with no clear policy objective, that's what they'd be asking.

If Democrats had somehow managed to elect Alec Baldwin president and he put Diddy in charge of deciding federal spending priorities with an army of blank-teen to early 20's aspiring rappers as his workforce, maybe Republicans would understand just how ludicrous this all is.

Don't know who needs to hear this, but here we go: GOVERNMENT SPENDING IS STIMULATIVE TO THE ECONOMY. Unlike private business, the government can spend freely and those dollars have a net positive impact on consumers. The problem isn't spending, it's that we don't tax the rich.

ONE simple question...Why hasn't the Democratic Leadership presented a plan to cut spending?

Don’t know who needs to hear this, but demanding to run a government like a business is contradictory to its purpose. Government does all of the things business is too efficient to do. It’s analogous to running your veterinary hospital like a butcher shop. But y’all won’t get it.

The death of nuanced and complex thinking is nigh. Yes, ending a war is a good thing on balance. HOWEVER, there are bad ways to end a war. Two things can be in conflict and true at the same time.

And when your favorite chain restaurants or department store closes, don’t ask why. It’s because Elon Musk and some kids decided to take a quarter of a million decent paying middle class jobs and eliminate them for no reason. Every action has an equal reaction. Even dumb ones.

Some of you all are about to find out the hard way that, when you abruptly and haphazardly fire 200K people with heretofore steady jobs, it wrecks the entire economy. It’s the answer to “Why hasn’t anyone done this with government before?” Because it’s stupid and dangerous.

Cheering on a billionaire for firing people with wage jobs if you aren’t also a billionaire and, in fact, work a wage job is the epitome of stupid. If you think a person on SNAP is stealing more from you than a billionaire tax cheat, you just don’t know you’re poor too yet.

Can you tell me the difference, loosely, between the square footage of a Family Dollar compared to a Walmart? Just spitball it. I’ll wait.

Oooh. Oooh. Now do the same with the government subsidizing defense companies R&D budgets. SNAP is a stimulative program that, beyond providing food to the poor, pays American farmers to operate efficiently. It grows the economy.

If you need the government to pay for your food then the government has every right to decide what you should eat. If you need the government to pay for your housing then the government has every right to determine where you can live and who can live with you.

Food desserts exist because grocery chains have profitability thresholds that need to be met per square foot of store. Because they choose to have large footprints, grocery stores can’t operate profitably in certain areas. It’s de facto redlining based on community income.

Food desert? Let’s be honest. Why are supermarkets in the inner city closing? Is it a conspiracy to deprive black folk of nutrients or is it something else? I know the intellectual eunuchs by their talking points!

The average SNAP user travels +12 miles from their homes to purchase groceries while the average non-SNAP user travels 3. Stop trying to shame people for being poor and recognize how expensive poverty actually is.

The scam in the hood is to pay for someone else’s groceries with your EBT card and charge them 50% cash. Stop all this food desert talk. People take uber to the club. They’ll take uber to the supermarket. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Black Americans are an amalgamation of Indigenous American, EU, & African ancestry at our roots. An ethno-genesis**** that began forming around the 1600 Americas. @AmericaFreedmen For many of us our relative ancestry is African not our full amalgamation. https://t.co/Z1qCQeuHTY

The idea that having sickle cell means someone is “African enough” is misleading and overly simplistic. While sickle cell disease and trait are more common in people of African descent, they also appear in populations from the Mediterranean, Middle East, India, and the Americas

How can Freedmen be considered African after six generations in America, especially when they have mixed European and Native American ancestry? They never experienced Africa, were never taught its cultures, and never spoke the languages of any African tribes. It seems like many

Just say you’ve never actually navigated the special education process and that you don’t know how it works and maybe you’ll learn something from the people, like me, who have. Your opinion doesn’t matter when compared to my experience.

Thinking that states will continue to enforce a law with no actual mechanism of consequence to pay for special education is like saying that we can defund the TSA and let travelers screen themselves at the airport on the honor system.

Who is going to enforce it? If Special Education money is block granted, the only way to compel the state to spend money on children who need it is to sue and the states will settle for cents on the dollar rather than spend the full amount and no one can stop them.
