We're sad to learn of Ken Squier's passing. A legend in the world of racing, he was a huge figure in the history of the sport in VT. We were privileged to interview him for our exhibit "Anything for Speed" about the state's history of racing.

It's #Caturday! This is a picture taken by George W. Perry in 1897, of the monument at the site of the Catamount Tavern, which was an important site in Vermont's early history. The tavern burned down in 1871, and the statue was put here in its place in 1896.
