This analysis seems to me to be profoundly misguided. The supposed "cloud paradox" is that cloud is cheap early on but then later gets expensive enough that it's worth repatriating* workloads on-prem.

https://t.co/gexFLuO9nd Eventual consistency is not sufficient for unwindowed operations in streaming systems. Ksqldb and flink suffer severe and persistent errors. Internal consistency restores the intuition we're used to from kv databases.

If you really want to, you can use X.509 client certificates to authenticate your Chrome browser to AWS. See my new post "Using AWS IoT for mutual TLS in a web application"

Some #Grafana design 101: If you're going to design a long dashboard, scrolling vertically, you need a scroll-lane. Legends with many items can act as virtual tar-pits, slowing down your scrolling efforts; best to make lane free of pot-holes/tar-pits dedicated to scrolling
