and it's kinda interesting that alastor would drink in front of vox, because the first scene of him drinking we see when he's completely alone. drinking gets you very vulnerable and numb, so it adds to my point that they were indeed pretty close for al to do it

whiskey is HELLA strong guys. like, VERY STRONG. everyone has different tolerance for alcohol (i get drunk very fast...), but whiskey is... yeah, i would drink one glass, and it will get me pretty tipsy. so i can believe that alastor was indeed drunk haha

OH AND if the characters having their "moment" together, you will hear the melodies of their first song together. for instance, when charlie's talking with lucifer, you'll hear leitmotiv of "more than anything", with alastor and vox - "stayed gone"

like, everytime you listen to the background music while watching, depending on character speaking you will hear their special leitmotiv incorporated to the whole vibe, whether it's a dramatic scene or comedic. and it's very interesting for me

this is such a cool subtle way to show they were close, even if both of them deny their strong connection. like, ofc vox would know where is alastor from, when he lived, and alastor would know his real name, despite throwing tantrums about not needing each other.

THE MOMENT vox said "val, hang on", i was like oh fuck. he's still not over it. he could've rejected him. mocked him. killed him right on the spot. he had it all. but he just COULDN'T not listen to him. because it's all he ever wanted.
