Many don’t know this. This was equivalent to the nakba in 1942. Much of the Rohingya population of south and central arakan were forced northwards and then they were forced to arm themselves with British help against the Rakhine and Bamar forces

After 1942 genocide in Myanmar, Many #Rohingya had fled into Bangladesh. In 1978, Bangladesh President Ziaur Rahaman had given an important message to the world about Rohingya of Myanmar's Rohang/Arakan St. "If Rohingya are ethnically Bengali then Arakan is a part of Bangladesh".

Question to my fellow Bangladeshi Muslims. How many times you read about these great Muslim people in our textbook? Whenever we open books we only see R. Tagore, Ram Mohon Ray, Bankim Chandra and their folks. The world should learn from us how to stab own Muslim heritage.
