It's been over a year now since I released the book Open Source Network Management. It's been awesome so far for the year. This year has been full of life changes for me, so as I look at things settling down, a few more updates likely making its way into the book!.

I recently made the switch over from iPhone to Android. As I looked at the features and how they were being advertised together, Google just has things together. A cohesive look and feel, without the need to say, yup, send this to another system.

Definitely a poor experience that I get an email every time there is a new message into MS Teams (by default). It's called that there is this application for communications, called Teams. Be there for messages. Don't need emails telling me there is comms there.

Maybe an unpopular thought, but I very much enjoy working on docs when they come out looking nice, especially with light amount of effort. Mkdocs-Material theme is quite a pleasant thing to work with.

Working on a few personal projects that I have hosted in GitLab this week on some down time and I have to say that I think that their experience for Git is a pure joy. Not quite the community yet, but just a good experience.

Proud to be part of the team at @networktocode, when I joined the team 4.5 years ago, things were much different and we have done a fair bit in the goal of changing of how networks are managed. Looking forward to many more years and being one of the best places to work!.
