the easel tool in Arc is way too good, like what the heck honestly wish I had this browser when I was in school it's so useful for organizing things and ideas visually

If you're curious it was part of an answer to a question that I submitted to Hank and John Green's advice podcast back in 2017. It's in episode 106 at around the 17 minute mark

thinking about the time that New York Times bestselling author John Green told me that "the truth is all of us make mistakes, Valery, and at any moment the public could come for you and destroy your reputation." when I asked for advice going into my first year of university

That is to say you're most comfortable reading what you are used to, and if you are reading Twitter everyday then yes, a change in letterforms can be a bit disorienting at first. But, imho, Chirp is a step in the right direction. Also I think the lowercase 'g' is pretty cute.

The crazy reaction to this new Twitter typeface is almost shot for shot the same reaction Gerard Unger wrote about in While You're Reading about changing the typeface of a popular dutch newspaper and I find that really funny.

If you're Canadian please show some shame and respect tomorrow. Don't buy fireworks, instead donate that money to an indigenous charity. Read the TRC. Listen to the stories of survivors. Take concrete action towards reconciliation.

Don't ask Indigenous people what you can do π§‘Read the TRC π§‘Implement calls to action (You don't need to be a government - something for everyone) π§‘Donate your money https://t.co/dqR5OzevD1

It is clear the existence of mass unmarked graves at former residential schools are not isolated cases. Searches of all sites should be supported in line with TRC Calls to Action 71-76. To find 24 hr support for survivors and those affected: 1-866-925-4419

A news release from Cowessess and the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous First Nations did not give a specific number, but said it will be the most found to date in Canada.

Anyways, if you're looking to hire a junior designer in the Toronto area I'm currently looking for a full time position and I'd love to chat. You can find my info on my website https://t.co/11CflyzHoV π€

For the applicants and employers it encourages more thoughtful applications. And for the job board service it encourages users to stick to their service for the duration of their search. I don't know about you, but as far as features go it seems like a no brainer to me.

I guess I'm coming at this from a user experience angle, but I think its really weird that none of these services let you do stuff like mark up, highlight, and write notes on job postings inside of their service. Like, it would be good for applicants, employers, and the service.

Having spent the past couple of months looking for full time work, I find it interesting that none of the job board services provide meaningful tools to job applicants apart from the "apply to job" button or displaying the average salary.
