The 7-yr old & I have started a book club. We sit side by side & read books, talk about books, sometimes we have snacks, sometimes we lie in bed or curl up together. I hear little awws and giggles from her at times & it makes me happy because I am inevitably reading some sad

@casas_jimmy Too many mandates. Too many things added on. To the point where educators have no room left to be creative, innovate, and simply enjoy the people in their spaces. We need to simplify things, remove the minutiae and trust our professionals. Educators can be amazing if we let them.
