For her Cybersecurity 2 project, Jade taught our RISE learners all about strong passwords! Learners had fun sorting examples as “Safe” and “Unsafe” and even the adults walked away with new tips! 😁 #MineolaProud @mineolahs

Cybersecurity LOVED using games to learn the concept of encryption in class today! This was my favorite thing learned from #EdCon25 from @cyber_dot_org from @JennyCircello 's talk! We got to work in teams to decrypt and intercept other team's secret codes! #MineolaProud

I love how you put together such an interactive lesson to bring this unit to life!!!
Today in #APCSP, learners demonstrated their mastery of our Data Unit by participating in an Escape Room. They converted binary numbers, examined data and metadata, and weighed lossless vs. lossy compression in order to escape! @mineolahs @MineolaUFSD

Huge respect to @v_berkowitz and @MsDiFede for transforming Mineola's CS program. From a school with no real tech classes to one producing CTF competitors and self-taught game devs.
Our founder @dguido went from being banned from his high school's computers to founding Trail of Bits. Now he's established a $2,500 scholarship at Mineola HS to celebrate students who push boundaries and explore tech beyond the curriculum.
