As stated in the request, “The students of UP Visayas come from different provinces and regions in the country, and the approval of this request will allow them to have enough time to go to their hometowns and practice their civic duty and right to suffrage.

Recognizing the importance of participating in national elections, this will encourage the students to vote in their hometowns and practice their civic duty on May 12, 2025.

Today, May 2, 2025, the 45th UPV USC sent a letter to the UPV Administration requesting the suspension of classes on May 9 and 13, 2025, in line with the 2025 National Midterm Elections.
