Over a decade of research: the SPARK Tool evolved from the Health Equity Questionnaire (described in the 2013 We Ask Because We Care report) using psychometric testing, in-depth patient interviews, validation with 2000+ Canadians, and implementation pilot testing in 5 provinces.
