That's a wrap for STEAM-D Summer 2024! . In the past month, our learners networked with healthcare professionals, explored career pathways, deepened their knowledge on STEM topics, and challenged themselves to create innovative solutions to their research questions. (1/2)

Finally, the students ended their week with Community Impact Day, where they engaged in volunteer activities to make a difference in their community. Highlights include packing food for the homeless at Good Shepherd, and revitalizing the Green Roof at Central YMCA. (6/7)

The Faculty of Molecular Genetics also hosted a student panel talk where students learned about the careers in molecular genetics, as well as the exciting research currently being done in the field. (5/7)

Their trip to the Women’s College Hospital taught them about the history of women and medicine, and gave them insight into the career journeys of a family physician, pharmacist, nurse, and research student. (3/7)

During Physiotherapy Day, students were able to explore the diverse career pathways in physiotherapy. They participated in immersive sessions where they applied their knowledge of muscles and bones in a competition, as well as learning how to use crutches and knee braces. (2/7)
