the answer to ‘what if EYE put on a skirt and tried to be a woman’ is ‘well, what if you did? is that so wrong?’ and that is the wrong answer to them bcs im meant to be horrified and walk back my own gender expression for fear of being ‘like that’.

the threat is ‘what if i descend to the lowest rung in this racial gendered system’ and im often met with derision when i say i dont mind or would be open to that. black transfemininity is used as a punishing spectre for my own transness.

i find that in day to day skirmishes with family, antitransmasculinity being a trojan horse for transmisogynoir is more and more proven in just them trying to curb my gender nonconformity with ‘what if i wore a skirt and embarrassment you?’ n them getting mad when im encouraging.
