The American Solar Challenge (ASC) proved to be a demanding eight-day race, covering over 1,400 miles from Independence, MO to Twin Falls, ID. The team's hard work and dedication paid off as they achieved first place in its Class at the American Solar Challenge🌟.

In the FSGP '22, Freya secured an impressive second place in the multi-occupant vehicle (MOV) class and set a new record by completing the highest number of laps in our class, totaling 295 laps!

The team received several notable awards for their efforts, including the Best Practicality score, the Spirit of the Event award, and the Safety award. Building on the success of the previous year, the team decided to once again race with Freya in ASC '22.

Despite facing challenges such as a blown fuse and a resulting battery fire, Freya persevered and continued the race, earning the nickname "Foenix".

In the FSGP '21, Freya emerged victorious and won the race. It also participated in the 2021 American Solar Challenge, a race from Independence, Missouri to Las Vegas, New Mexico, where it secured 2nd place in the Multi Occupant Vehicle class.

In the following year, Eos II competed once again in the 2019 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge, becoming the first Minnesota Solar Car to race in Australia twice. The team's hard work paid off as they secured another 5th-place finish.

Eos II advanced through ASC's final stage, ultimately sharing a well-deserved 2nd place victory with Appalachian State University.

Building upon its previous success, Eos II continued to shine in subsequent solar car competitions, including ASC '18. It achieved a remarkable first-place victory in the Formula Sun Grand Prix.

After the unveiling, Eos II was shipped to Australia for WSC ’17 and began its journey across the Outback. It ran beautifully throughout the entire race; there were no mechanical issues or major electrical issues. The car eventually arrived in Adelaide and finished in 5th place.

While the race started without major obstacles, Eos I encountered a setback on day 3 when both of its motors malfunctioned. Despite this setback, the team persevered, repaired the motors, and ultimately finished in 10th place.

The FSGP '16 event proved to be a successful venture for Eos I, finishing 4th among 16 other cars, all of which belonged to the Challenger class, and securing qualification for ASC. Journeying from Brecksville, OH, to the finish line in Hot Springs, SD.
