From the #UKLVC13 Organising Committee: THANK YOU!

We really hope you have all thoroughly enjoyed #UKLVC13 (we know we have), and we look forward to meeting you all again in 2023 for #UKLVC14. Now time to walk away from our screens and take a well-earned break (and maybe even a virtual croissant or two)!

Thank you to everyone single person who has been involved in #UKLVC13 in any and every capacity, whether it be as a delegate, a presenter, a plenary, our tech support, a chair, a reviewer or our organising committee.

And with that, we close the curtains on #UKLVC13! The past three days have been jam-packed with an outstanding calibre of research, and it has been a privilege being able to play host to all of the talks and posters and the academics behind them.

And looking into the (not-so-distant future), #UKLVC15 will be hosted by @LAEL_LU in 2025!

And the hosts of #UKLVC14 in 2023 are...... (drumroll please) EDINBURGH! Our friends @EdinUniLEL at the other end of the Central Belt will be hosting UKLVC in 2023!

We have reached the very last talk of #UKLVC13! Last (but absolutely not least!) we have Nina Markl (@ninamarkl) presenting on "(HW) in Edinburgh: phonetically gradual change of a complex consonant variable."

Our penultimate talk of #UKLVC13 is on "The sociolinguistic dynamics of word-final /r/ in Scottish English" by Jane Stuart-Smith (@jhstuartsmith), Rachel Macdonald, James Tanner and the SPADE Consortium.

Next up, we have Margie Ferguson from @UofGEnglishLang presenting on "Acquisition of glottals in Galloway: from home to nursery" #UKLVC13

Next up, we have Ebtehal Asiri's discussion on "Intra-ethnic variation in the production of English /l/ by Iraqi-Arabs in London and Glasgow." #UKLVC13
