Congratulations, Chief Smedley. It’s always inspiring to see our Firebirds so committed to serving their community.
UDC alum Corey Smedley (class of '94) was recently sworn in as fire chief of the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, becoming the county's first Black fire chief. Thirty years after earning his communication degree, he says he's still putting it to work.
