Sean Huang, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Cognitive Science, won the 10th Annual Grad SLAM Competition after communicating his findings on the “soliloquizing technique” for foreign language learners during a three-minute research talk.

Sean Huang was named campus champion of UC San Diego’s 2023 Grad SLAM competitive public speaking event and will advance to the UC-wide final round on May 5.
