This is a story about individual American voters grappling with a painful decision more than anything else, and I hope you listen to it with that in mind. Big thank-you to @JustinJONeill & @Singalisa for editing and @tyronefoto for stunning visuals https://t.co/Bt5saT8cQ8

This morning I’m in Arlington for the annual ceremony to honor the county’s police and firefighters who responded to the Pentagon after it was attacked on 9/11. The plane hit the building at 9:37 am that morning.

NEW FOR NPR: I attended the first college graduation in a women’s prison in the history of the state of Maryland. But why? Why had it taken so long to get to this point? Across the country, women face barriers to higher education, yes, also in prison. 1/2 https://t.co/WR956JGyMD

Many people in prison rely on federal Pell Grants to pay for college courses. But in most states, women's prisons offer less access to Pell-eligible classes than men’s prisons do.

A bit awkward, but it's nice to see @JacobFenston & @tyronefoto be recognized by PMJA for their beautiful story on the growing gaps in the DC area's forests https://t.co/FP09IkVuIK
