One of the main problem is that he takes too long to spot a run. He's usually 2 second slow. His brain functions like that when he's on the ball.. When he notices the runs from our players, the opponent have already closed down that space or our player is already offside

Look at 1:03, there is no way a player should feel this much comfortable being surrounded by 4 men, specially at Anfield. He shouldn't get out of that situation. Our players press for the sake of it, NOT to actually win the ball.. Ekitike, Salah, Wirtz have that mindset

As someone who watched Pirlo, Kroos, Thiago, Kimmich extensively I’m not impressed at all. All of his progressive passing happens on the break. He can’t control a game and hasn’t shown he can preserve possession while being progressive in a possession team. Fools gold indeed
