TP Apricot is characterized by a stable underlying structure. In addition, the subtle swelling at the beginnings and endings of strokes helps maintain legibility even when reversed out, while conveying a soft, gentle nuance. Happy New Year, and best wishes for the year ahead.

This year’s Type Project Christmas card features a handmade touch: each staff member created a stamp in their favorite typeface and decorated the tree by hand. All the stamps can be seen on our homepage (now in Christmas mode). Merry Christmas! https://t.co/BQ9C4abT6Z

By comparing the starting strokes of horizontal lines, you can see the kanji, hiragana, katakana, and Latin characters in TP Apricot are not made with a single set of rules. Their details and stroke softness are tuned for each script to achieve a balanced look when set together

TP Apricot is a typeface that carries a fresh, just-picked “sizzle” reminiscent of ripe fruit. At the same time, its underlying structure—such as its skeleton and proportions—maintains a classic balance, allowing for stable, well-organized text even in limited space.

‘In [Optimization of Web Font 04 “Subsetting”], file size is reduced by deleting unnecessary characters. In addition, file size is reduced by deleting unnecessary information. GPOS, GSUB, and Hinting were particularly effective.’ [TP Staff Blog] https://t.co/30uP6usMNV

For our smartphone wallpaper calendar project, the font for December—wrapping up 2025—is Kinshachi Font Tono. Back in July this year, we featured the extra-bold Kinshachi Font Tono. This winter edition uses Tono in a light weight. Enjoy comparing the two! https://t.co/RfBdNo85De
