“Violent protest is not protected; peaceful protest is. ... Vandalism, trespassing, breaking windows, shutting down campuses, forcing the cancellation of classes ... none of this is peaceful protest.”
— President Biden condemns many campus demonstrations.

Hey if you haven’t yet, you should checkout project olive branch which is a way to help raise funds for gofundmes from families in Gaza seeking to raise money to escape

In that clip, Biden did not characterize the protests as violent. Some violence did occur in some places and he was speaking about that to try to prevent more of it. I would think we would all want a President to do that.

An inconvenient truth for those who would have us believe that peaceful protest against our government’s and institution’s complicity in war crimes is the “real” violence.
@tyleroakley
When they send the riot police and State troopers, it’s on purpose. They want to make those encampments seem “violent” and “threatening”. It’s all part of the media fear-mongering campaign to scare American viewers so they won’t question for a second what they are protesting.
@tyleroakley
He talked for longer about the right to protest. You just cherry pick the one about not being violent! He did not characterize these protests as violent.
@tyleroakley
It's "violent" because Zionists, who have co-opted anti-semitism to mean anything that criticizes Israel in any way, are getting their feelings hurt. There's a difference between Anti-Zionism and Anti-Semitism, know it, learn it, and understand it
