Very happy with the video I made for the Lauf Elja mountain bike launch for @bikerumor (and the bike is great, too!).

Counterintuitive perspective that makes a lot of sense. It’s hard to fully delegate the vision & energy of a founder, better for us to learn the tools & skills to be better managers and trust us to know when to stay hands on.

1. If you haven’t seen or heard from a friend for a while, check in on them. 2. If you’re hurting or sick, please tell your friends. We want to help. Please share this with your friends, let them know you’re there for them no matter what. Goodbye Dave, I miss you.

He had a a lot of friends. I wish I could have been there for him. I wish I could have said goodbye. It sucks that that can never happen now. Two takeaways: 👇.

Dave was a great guy. Kind, always happy, and at every single trail work day for our local MTB club. He also had great f**king hair. He never once mentioned being sick or having cancer. I think it’s unfair that he didn’t. I think it sucks that he died alone at home. 👇.

My friend Dave passed away last week. We hadn’t seen him at the bike shop for Friday beers in a few months, but figured life was keeping him busy. I don’t make it there every Friday either. Turns out he was undergoing chemo and no one knew. And then he passed in his sleep 👇

The higher the steps go, the thinner the crowds get. Also, there’s usually some cool stuff at the top.

Just found @noahkagan’s new book "Million Dollar Weekend". Y'all know I have no problem launching ideas quickly, but I'm betting there's lots of nuggets of wisdom tucked in here. And I love his work, so I ordered one. Bonus material👉

This is the experience most digital publishers are delivering today and it’s fucking gross. Click to see the full image. 100% ad coverage, three ads, zero visible content. Looks like desperation to me.

But larger, better funded companies and founders with the right connections didn’t stop, and now we’re finally starting to hear about them. A #ReadyPlayerOne metaverse? Are you kidding? Hell yeah. LFG!. My project may not have made it, but I’m stoked to see others succeed!.

But lots of big projects that were being built carefully to become a sustainable business with real utility were shuttered when the market and funding for NFT & WEB3 collapsed. Including us.

Many of you know I tried to launch a WEB3 cycling project. There were issues to be worked out, but one of the biggest is that we were too early. The projects that gained steam quickly had little if any plan, just hype.
