a brief rant on tools that has been hard for me to articulate lately: tools are both everything and nothing at the same time. you must obviously be highly skilled at concrete technical skills to be a great practitioner of any craft. craft is defined by both taste and skill and

God knew sin and sickness were coming before He even said “let there be light.” He made us anyway. And in His infinite grace, He made us medicine… before we even knew we needed it. 💛 Follow me for more Christian herbalism, and don’t forget to stop by the shop for your own

everyone asking for the prompt: "can you make a UI prototype in <my prototyping directory> that uses a scroll view to create an old "macos time machine" style UI with 10 elements that you can scroll through with proper z indexing and what not? and make a swiftui preview for it"

This is like 30 years of HCI papers put together into something normal people can actually understand. Amazing
Ready to play? Board is the first face-to-face game console that combines physical pieces with video game magic. It looks modern, feels magical, and plays like a game night should.

‘digital assets’ will run back the 1990s dot com playbook through the latter half of the 2020s. We are at the tip of broad adoption around crypto and digital assets, which will kick off a multi-year speculative bubble that would put 2021-era NFTs to shame. Want to know why?👇

I got HMR working! Now can basically run a mini “react dev server” entirely inside of a swift app
got SWC (rust js/ts/react compiler) imported into a swift app + using it to live compile react code. so now the server can generate react code and it'll be compiled + run in a local webview almost instantly. the actual compilation takes like 5-10ms- before youd need to use

this is what i tell everyone but teams only operate this way if they actually respect engineering / realize the important part of making something is shipping it
@aydaoz not sure if they still do it this way, but linear just starts a new design file every quarter and all work goes into that, no system, lots of screenshots. design artifacts are not important :(

Can someone who works on chatgpt mobile please make it so that if a voice transcription fails, you can retry instead of just exiting out? Just cache it on device. I’ve lost minutes of rambles before @OpenAI

Everyone talks about decentralization, few talk about trust. When millions of smartphones start running AI workloads together, one question matters most: How do you trust what’s happening on someone else’s device? 🤔 Fair question. That’s why we use TEEs (Trusted Execution

Have you ever seen someone pick a Master lock with paperclips? ever since I was a kid I had this notion that a Master lock was super secure turns out not so much been feeling that lately when I see super high-powered AI undone by simple text (prompt injection attacks)
