Something curious I covered the other day: A company now has FDA clearance to treat stress with videogames that use its biofeedback SDK. It wants to connect game developers to the healthcare economy—ie, your insurance could one day cover videogames.

Was walking along a road by a marsh by the ocean in Pescadero, CA and encountered these fliers stapled to telephone poles.

I really thought Concord would do alright when I first played it but it must’ve been the old man Quake player in me whispering “there are health pickups, can’t fail.”.

This was the milk because of course I looked it up myself to see what he knew that I didn’t.

The other day I was sitting outside of a grocery store and noticed a man drinking a big bottle of milk. It was a 48 oz bottle, 6% milk fat. He had his laptop open and on the screen I could see the website for the milk. Just thought that was interesting.

Visited Firaxis earlier this month to play Civilization 7 and was happy to find big changes, including some that'll probably be controversial. It wouldn't be a new Civ game if it didn't lead to a few 3,000-word strategy nerd essays about all its mistakes.

A pair of older women approached me while I was having coffee outside the other day, giggling to each other as if hiding a secret, and then one of them told me that they saw a couple having sex at the train station across the street. I said “wow, summertime eh” and they agreed.

Humble is passionate about the life sim genre and seemed to have a great grasp on what players want from it. Disappointing. I guess Paradox didn't want to commit to 12 months of early access on the chance that sales didn't cover it.

Surprised by this. When I last spoke to Rod Humble in April, he sounded confident that Life by You was ready to welcome early access players/modders. They'd made some graphics and performance improvements and were focused on bugs.
