did you know that if we cut the us military budget in half, we’d have enough money to completely eradicate homelessness in the US while still having well over 200 billion dollars left to improve quality of life for us, & WOULD STILL HAVE THE MOST EXPENSIVE MILITARY IN THE WORLD

@_tventura I recommend you look into the why. It's not so cut and dry, we spend that much more for a reason. Search "military fund breakdown reddit" on Google and click the 1st link ("CMV: The military budget of the US..."), there is a comment that explains it in a clear, concise way

@_tventura I come from a heavily military family. The amount of money wasted on a daily basis would blow your mind. Stuff like replacing an entire fleet of blackhawk helicopters for one year because a new commander wants to make his mark on a unit.

@_tventura We need that big of a budget so we can defeat all of those nations at once in a war. DUH!
