Infra team has two SRE positions inside the Hardware Team. Joining our team not only means working on a 50.000 servers fleet. It is also enjoying a great workplace. Look at this view from our HQ rooftop. Mileage may vary if opting for a remote position. https://t.co/CyI9fW0ei8

The infra team is pleased to welcome the new version of its IO-oriented server flavor. It's a 1U server from @HPE, @AMDServer 7502 CPU, 4x @KIOXIAAmerica CD6V NVME 3.2TB drives, 256GB RAM, and a 25Gbit nic. This machine can reach 4MIOPS read, 720KIOPS write.

November is always a very busy month for the Criteo teams with events like Single Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday. During this period, our infrastructure is stressed at most, leading to remarkable metrics.⬇️

Being the first @hpe customer servicing the Apollo 2000 Gen10+ running @AMDServer processors: - servers up to 4x more performant - server density increased by a 4x factor - half fewer servers to buy - lots of energy saved

As heavy consul users, we started to fork the original python-consul, as the latter is not maintained anymore. This is still the beginning but here is py-consul :

Since Linux Kernel 5.8, it is now possible to collect both Bios and BMC release versioning via /sys/devices/virtual/dmi/id/{bios,ec_firmware}_release. This ease collecting and controlling the firmware release over our fleet of servers. The head of dmidecode also supports this now
