Do you know that starting April 15th, you won't be able to participate in polls if you don't pay for #TwitterBlue? This is one of the first big restriction hitting free users, but it certainly won't be the last. Feel invited to #Mastodon 😉
Starting April 15th, only verified accounts will be eligible to be in For You recommendations. The is the only realistic way to address advanced AI bot swarms taking over. It is otherwise a hopeless losing battle. Voting in polls will require verification for same reason.

After a brief look at docs I discovered that Nitter seems to be completely independent from Twitter’s API so should be fine after disabling API free plan by TT 😉 Unlike some other tools which would not work anymore.
After Feb 9, there may be problems with the operation of Twittodon. This is due to the removal of free API access by Twitter by which some instances of Nitter (used as a proxy) may stop working. We will probably overcome it, but now is a good time to join .

Starting February 9, we will no longer support free access to the Twitter API, both v2 and v1.1. A paid basic tier will be available instead 🧵.

And here we have an answer to a question which has been around for last couple of days. “Intentionally blocked API” confirmed ✅ API for competitors of course 😉 It’s not a big, it’s a feature 😁 Especially when the ground burns under your feet 😂 #Tweetbot #API.
Twitter is enforcing its long-standing API rules. That may result in some apps not working.

It seems that smaller third-party players’ apps are still working normally (according to report given by users), so it can’t be a mistake, but rather deliberate action from Twitter Devs (probably by order of Elon. ). Twitter cuts off the competition for its official app.
Twitter devs broken #API for third party apps. So Tweetbot and other client don’t work at all… Is Twitter already over? Maybe it’s time to switch to #Mastodon? If you decided to do so I recommend you to connect your account here and on masto with:.
