I’m just a girl with a 500-word humour piece about magpie-swooping standing in front of any mag (but probably more Australian), asking them to let her submit. #whichmags #submission #isthisapitch #writingcommunity

Lucy couldn’t believe Mrs. Castro was right! With a bit of practice - word-memory association, visualisation while sipping the right mix of cardamom, pepper, paprika, and rapping-memory technique, Lucy’s become the spelling juggernaut. #9forNavaratri #juggernaut

They were bottled nostalgia. Bibliosmia, a hint of mildewed rows of woody old-book smell transporting someone to the oldest libraries in the world. My favourite was Mango-tango with a fruity, sweet smell of teeming unpicked mangoes ripening over us as we kissed. #9forNavaratri

Oh how I love writing micro memoirs for @FiveMinuteLit - always cathartic, and nerve-wracking at the same time. Totally recommend! 😁🙌🏾💕

Scared yet determined, I walked to the nearest phone booth and called my secret boyfriend. “Can you please pick me up?” Grateful that he was older than me, had a car and license.—RUNAWAY by @twitnikki Editor's Pick Fall Contest 2023 in case you missed it https://t.co/bHhnbOqk1r

My dad was a writer. His book won an award, was translated into a language he couldn’t read, and referenced as textbook. When he found out he was dying, he finally started writing the novel he’d been dreaming of. But this isn’t that story: it’s the story of a notebook. 1/9
