Some thoughts about talking to children in schools about the situation in Ukraine: Today I've had conversations with parents of children spanning ages of 5-15yrs. In all cases they were concerned about how their child's school had begun talking to the children about Ukraine. 1/n

This also shows how important the historian is in our classroom- she was able to name a range of historians across our study, what they did, and where we had encountered them before.

I said perhaps write her questions for @sixteenthCgirl , and she said she couldn’t possibly because she’s her “hero”. 2/3

Just had an amazing conversation about how @sixteenthCgirl documentaries has inspired a brilliant year 9 to become a historian, and she spent her break sharing all the reasons why she wants to go into history. Any historians want to share what a career in history is like?
