We are saddened to hear of the death of Surinamese filmmaker Pim de la Parra, who died 6 September aged 84. His anticolonial drama WAN PIPEL (1976), is a pioneering classic of Caribbean cinema. We were proud to present it last year @BarbicanCentre. Condolences to Pim’s family.

ONE DAY TO GO! Tomorrow @riocinema we screen SERPENTS OF THE PIRATES’ MOON. As enjoyably trashy and transgressive as a film from the 1970s queer underground, set in an LA go-go bar, can be. Join us, @tgirlsonfilm and @clubdesfemmes for an amazing night! https://t.co/N7lr2TUvss
