Ever time it rains the square covered the only water it gets is vi tap water . This is common any opportunity and you take it . The watering we try to achieve is in the inches not mm, so constant watering at end of games is needed . Small windows
Why l won’t stop fighting
There plenty of better paid roles just wanted to highlight this is as especially poor and l wish the employers no luck in filling this role.

This is a NON fine turf area but you can clearly see the damage caused by walking on grass that has frost on it , good reason why greenkeepers want people to stay off the turf during frosts ❄️
Anyone fortunate to get on there squares this weekend, plenty of disease and weak grass about and that’s expected. if your happy to share without judgment then please do 👍🏻
Let’s be honest it can’t always look pristine and look a little closer it’s covered in disease ie Red thread & looking weak but understandable after non stop rain.Let’s look at how it really looks..
We don’t live in a perfect world..

Slowly progressing, a few days off now for the square before considering any more rolling .squares very firm but moist and needs some drying to continue to move forward.

🤣
First Cut , better grass cover than last year just got the seed anchored in so less wash off. Possible some overseeding to do but have to see how things thickens out. 🌱🌱
At least a positive day without the weather/ground affecting things. First day of PSR . One direction with rotary, followed up with the allett crossways .
TurfCareBlog would like to THANK those who have read, written and engaged this year so far. Our viewing stats have just beat last year total, with just over two months of the year remaining 🤗

Compaction from goalkeeper, need a gentle lifting also know as heave which in turn decompacts the area.
Aeration of this type will allow rain water infiltration and better rooting, which follow the fork channels ..
Note circular action at the end of exiting hole.
Great day as a Groundsman and a good week for raising the profile for all those involved in producing surfaces for sport. Whatever level, we are all vital

Helpful Hacks 🌱
Not my idea, like most ideas stolen from someone but if you trim down your pitch marking out brush , you get a more accurate and less wavy line .
If you have any hacks leave in the comments 👇
A big shout of appreciation to all those who deserve a special mention towards the community this year. Not always the big things but the small conversation that help. Also a shout out to some Influencers at 7,30 👏🏻
I ve forgotten as many as l remembered, so thanks to them .
Small steps of progress today, too wet to get anything onto outfield but at least some pitches cut out for early April . Messy and muddy but we march on nearer to the season 🌱
Take some time today ,while it quite and prior pre pre season rolling to read and study Iain James ,essential guide to rolling .👇🏻

It’s only cutting grass !!
How often have you heard, its only cutting grass isn’t it from those who see what we do, they can see no difference to what they do when they cut their lawn at home
