My favorite AI talk was spontaneously given by @Grifter801 out side the NOC. His take on AI usage in the SOC was spot on.

Still great for talking to your vendors and maybe discovering a few new ones. Just be careful of the koolaid and snake oil.

#BlackHat My goodness it has gotten huge. Vendors, as someone else remarked, “rub a little AI” on it. 🤣 . I think Allison Miller said it best, “what’s after the AI hype cycle” a bit more hype.

A few Hacker Summer Camp observations after a decade away…. I love #BsidesLV vibe. It reminds me of the regional cons 15y ago. Smaller, high quality, you can have a brilliant conversation in the hallway with the speaker of the talk you just attended. Still 2 of the best talks.

I always taught “talk it thru” as part of trouble shooting as it engages the language center and forces organized thinking to explain it verbally. See also: rubber duck debugging

Learned a great tip from @MalwareJake this morn. Put a rubber duck on your desk. Assume it knows the basics. Now explain the problem out loud. 50% of the time you’ll find the solution while taking.
