a more mild workout one day, I don't sweat it because over time I know it's all adding up. 8 moderate workouts a month is a lot better than 2 intense ones! I've been going pretty consistently since April with no end in sight!.

this time I'm approaching it like a longterm habit. I don't worry about intensity, just steady progress and consistency. I don't push to my limit, I challenge myself a bit and that's about it. Now I actually enjoy going and even when I'm tired it feels manageable. If I have.

One part of healing my marriage was both of us really leaning into our “roles” for lack of a better term. Instead of always trying to “help” each other by doing the same stuff we started to appreciate each other more for doing different stuff (which helped more!).
I had a period in my early 20s with my first serious girlfriend where I really took gender equality seriously. I accepted the argument. And I treated her like her and I were indistinguishable. We’re moving? You can carry just as much heavy stuff as me. You can go out alone late.

It’s hard to maintain/build friendships when answering messages is just. optional. I find this pretty common and very weird! .Like you make tentative plans, try to iron out the details and then they just stop? Or just ignore a message that’s asking a real question? Idgi.

Sometimes I objectively look at myself at the gym and I have to laugh. Big t shirt, Amazon barefoot runners, wired headphones, carrying around my stapled workout plan and a pen 😂.I like to think I make the other girls feel good about themselves lol.

How many of the faithful men and women of the bible went to a church building? If you remove the building, what does church mean? How many feel they are meeting a requirement when they go to church and have no real relationship (oil) with Jesus?.
Can you worship God without going to church? Think of those who say, "I don't need church to have a relationship with God.".

I figured that as my kids grew they would stop “playing” so much and get more into projects. But their play has just evolved into these amazing stories based on things they’ve learned and it leads to projects I couldn’t have imagined. One of the best parts of parenting so far!.

Probably my hottest marriage take (hard won by experience) is that if your spouse “has always been” a certain way that you don’t like, divorcing them for that thing is on you, not them. Expecting someone to change something you have always known about is an unfair condition.

Update: getting laser on my underarms is the best cosmetic decision I have made in a long time! I have gone ONE time, about a month ago, and I really haven’t had to shave since and the irritation I generally have is way less than usual. Why didn’t I do this at 20?!?.
