since ppl are intentionally being one noted, my POINT is that this arthouse film & its dark subject isn’t for everyone and doesn’t appeal to everyone (especially young ones) like blockbusters and that’s ok! so let’s not hold it to those standards no matter who is starring in it.
taylor russell is an indie actress and an introvert whose career didn’t take off till her mid twenties & only got her big break bc she got in a car accident & decided to use the accident money to drive to Los Angeles for an audition for a Netflix show… stop perceiving her 😭
@PlNKOPAL
They’re both light skinned multi-facials actresses of which Hollywood has several …. It’s just a funny little joke about how they’re all vying for the same spot while anyone darker than a paper bag gets zero attention lol.
what’s with this weird pipeline movement happening where small indie actresses get acclaim and more attention for their performances in their horror films and people on twitter with nothing better to do decide to be bitter and nasty towards them?
taylor russell will now turn her attention to HOPE.
Directed by Na hongjin the thriller follows residents in a village who discover an unidentifiable creature & face destruction and horror.
taylor russell stars with alicia vikander, hoyeon jung, more!
seeing nothing but critical acclaim for taylor russells performance in bones and all. hope studios pay attention and start casting her in more stuff, she’s easily one of the best of her generation right now yet so underrated.
taylor is so funny, all the 50+ celebrities (actors, directors, singers) that followed her after the bones and all screening and her fashion this week and she only followed charlixcx and frank ocean back 😭
taylor collaborates with ryan hastings on her outfits btw, she doesn’t just let him style her. she sends him ideas and questions about what she can pull off and what she wants to wear and try & she follows a bunch of designers to stay up on the latest and vintage fashions!!
taylor russell is NOT friends with that *man*, he met her and luca at event and took a picture of them (among other celebrities) and was asked to untag her after he posted it!
so proud of taylor russell and the entire cast of “the effect” for performing multiple plays since august… these memories will live with them forever and the audiences they shared their talent with every single night and day… ❤️
first mia goth & now taylor russell?? two women that literally mind their business, have been under the radar for so long and are genuinely great actresses…
it would be so much more depressing if she ended up like sully bc of the traumatic events that happened to her… hope she realizes that there’s so much more joy waiting for her after she heals
@pepperjellyfilm
people seem to be expecting those kind of numbers lol but like anything rated r that isn’t a mainstream horror, thriller or at least a comic book isn’t gonna be some huge gigantic hit. It’ll make back its 16 million in the next few weeks and streaming
if you don’t wanna get blocked stay out of taylor’s comments and off her socials, if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it all.. keep your opinions to yourself. she’s absolutely right to block you.
there is definitely a call for how hollywood treats darker actresses/ women but you all are doing the same exact thing when you pin bi-racial actresses against each other and zendaya like they’re this token object.. you don’t do it with WHITE actors or women or bi-racial MEN!
it’s so ODD to me how the conversation about an institution that is still racist and full of white actors/creators who cast people of color, mixed or black people based on “lighter shades” has turned into “im gonna attack this bi-racial actress instead bc she got work” ?
even the way you’re framing her as being a shy introvert in comparison to my big mean dark ass is funny. I made a joke about how every actress in Hollywood is light skinned and this is your response.
