Time spent domestic duties as their primary activity in both urban and rural areas around 5 hours, remains same across the two decades (1998–2019). While there is a remarkable decline in time spent on paid work. What explains the decline, Education or Leisure or other activities?

Using #timeuse data for India, we find that time spent by women on paid work has halved over 20 yrs - Stark asymmetries in time use patterns by gender & rural-urban - U-shape relation b/w time use & educn - Counterfactual decomposition is insightful
