Very good format
So, BYU was penalized for getting blown out in its conference championship game (dropped one spot). Which allowed Miami to move up and get compared directly to Notre Dame. But Alabama was not penalized for getting blown out in its conference championship game.

Amazed every day people are invested in this charade. Every year there’s a “final decision” that’s just another made up judgment call. College ball is irreparably broken.
The selection committee is going to have to decide on Sunday whether or not it wants college football to continue to play conference championship games. That's what's at stake. If you're knocked out of the field after playing in one, it's impossible to recover from that.
