I am convinced Beyoncé or Taylor was there and bailed last minute. I was backstage earlier that night and literally the whole staff backstage were talking “the worst kept secret.” They even lowered the podium for a while before bringing it back up.
sometimes I think about how there was supposed to be a “special guest” performer at the DNC — and everyone thought it was going to be Beyonce or Taylor Swift — and then they brought out Leon Panetta.
