Release of debt doesn’t have to be public, though it is seen in public. Meaning our actions of treating them like a debtor or forgiving them of debt is observable! Yet, one is not required to verbally tell the other that they are forgiven. This action can actually cause harm.

How do we do this? We ask God for help! We remember who we were apart from His forgiveness. We bring the pain out into the open by confiding in those who are trustworthy and faithful to Christ. We don’t always have to go to the individual and tell them personally.

When do we forgive? Whenever necessary. Forgiveness for us isn’t a one time fix all thing. The healing process takes time! Every time thoughts arise and emotions stir is another opportunity to release one from their debts against you.

We CAN forgive because we have been forgiven of our debts against a Holy God. Erika demonstrated this! What is forgiven? The debt people owe due to their crimes against us: Lies, Theft, Murder!

What is the cure to un-forgiveness? FORGIVENESS True forgiveness demonstrated by Jesus Christ. Who doesn’t hold our debts over our head and treat us as debtors. Rather, He releases us from our debt as He cancels it for ALL who humbly ask!

Who does un-forgiveness hurt? It hurts many… But it hurts the one harboring it the most. The anger, bitterness, hostility distorts the brain causing harm to the unforgiving one.

What is un-forgiveness? It is holding a debt over the individual(s) and treating them as debtors. Often a debt that is so large no one can actually pay it!
