Out of 10 which I’d say isn’t bad? But that’s personal opinion. Not even sure what they judged the shearers on, I mean I know what they were supposed to be judged on but…I’d say I did pretty well in my blows so idk, I didn’t win first 😒 but maybe next year!

I literally cannot describe the amount of anxiety I had surrounded by 9 other shearers and a huge crowd watching all of us at once. I’m used to demos but this was different 😳 ya girl was sweating bad from anxiety. It ended up going great, I was like 3rd or 4th shearer done..

Which helps me in feeling more confident in who I recommend when I can’t get to a client, ya know? Along with that…seeing shearer(s) that I have recommended and regret that after seeing their work…but it’s fine 😅

So I did sheep to shawl this week…lemme recap right quick 😂 First of all, absolutely amazing to meet shearers that I’ve talked to for years but have never met. Extremely exciting! Also meeting new shearers and being able to see their skill level…

Next years birthday will definitely be my year 😅 this years birthday will hopefully be met with gallbladder surgery. In the meantime, I’m getting my body snatched on an ice chip diet after not eating since Thursday 😮‍💨

I was planning on having chili tonight but forgot to take meat out of the freezer…nicotine and beer for dinner instead 😅

Just to spice up my week I’m going to try riding my horse for the first time since February when she had surgery after slicing her tendon in half.

Ahh yes nothing better than freezing my ass off sitting in a stand with 27mph gusts, prime bucks 55 yards away and then this guy beds down next to me 😐 I swear this happens every archery season

Has anyone done sheep to shawl and if so, what was your shearing time? Got a call from a team looking for a fast shearer. I haven’t called back yet to see what they mean by “fast”. Im no 30 seconds fast but I’d probably hold my own in a novice competition.

I am so blessed that I was able to go to one of his events last year. It was Halloween of last year. My favorite day. It was unusually warm, I was disgustingly pregnant but I stood in the crowd just to see Charlie Kirk. I’m so happy he’s with Jesus but so sad at the same time.

Idk about any one else but I have been heart broken since yesterday. Crying for the sweet babies that had to wake up without a dad today. And the wife that had to wake up alone, knowing her husband wouldn’t ever come home. I feel like I lost a friend.

Update on sweet corn: 6 out of 7 had grubs…I know that’s “normal” but i have a phobia of all bugs and refused to eat corn that could have been touched by the very large, green grubs 🤢 so my chickens got a $3 dinner of 6 ears of corn 😂

I think I just stared at him blank faced and said oh…okay…um sure 😅 now he’s got me thinking IM the one that’s wrong

Stopped at an Amish stand on my way home to get sweet corn and had the most bizarre interaction. I wanted half a dozen ears of corn. I told the kid I’m grabbing half a dozen, $3 for 6 right? He said 7. I was like oh my bad I thought it was $3 he said no half a dozen is 7…

Also the pay is over double what I made federally so I think I can deal with any issues for that amount of money😅

But also the worst that can happen is they say yes and then I’m working full time again trying to balance shearing….

Feeling a little silly and might apply for high level position that I believe I qualify for 😅 I wanted to just be a mom but….this somehow fell in my lap and I’m feeling like it’s a sign to apply. What’s the worst that can happen? They say no?
