@trafalgartree Christmas tree sent over from Norway 🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴 A few years now since I was there watching the lights being turned on singing Christmas carols. Especially fun for the students who live in London 🎄

Let’s get something straight, these lights are traditional Norwegian Christmas decorations 🎄✨Did yule know, back in 1947, Norway sent a Christmas Tree as a symbol of gratitude for Britain’s support during WWII and a way to celebrate the special friendship between countries 😍

Since the Trafalgar Tree tradition began in 1947, we have had a unique vantage point on Trafalgar Square. This year, as we celebrate 100 years of #CanadaHouse, we hosted a gathering following the tree lighting, as a symbol of our shared history.
