While you can certainly make the case that we need to move past ‘beef’ culture, Kanye certainly isn’t the first artist to do it and in fact, Kanye’s video was laughable in comparison to videos that we’ve seen both recently and in the past.

Ye’s music has been such an important part of my life and in some ways music - and specifically Ye’s music - has saved my life over the years. I know I’m not alone in this. I really hope that he gets the help and support he needs at this time whatever that may look like for him.

I think it is also important to remember that this isn’t the first high-profile relationship that ended poorly for Ye. When Wiz Khalifa starting dating Ye’s ex Amber Rose, Ye had a very similar reaction to what we are seeing now with Pete - a messy and very public fracture.
