Very sad to see Cafe on the Square, the restaurant inside Toronto city hall, close for good. Inside, policy was hashed out, secrets whispered, deals made. Best of luck to the wonderful staff. We'll miss you. Thanks to @karonliu for the beautiful farewell

SO AMAZING what Victoria Mboko accomplished: Winning the National Bank Open on Montreal yesterday — and how she made it happen. Less impressive: Me. I watched some of the final but gave up because I still don’t understand tennis scoring and couldn’t tell who was winning.

CANADA SHOULD NOT worry about “offending” Trump any more than we worried about offending Hitler or Stalin. Trump’s goal is not a “deal.” His goal is the elimination of Canada as a free nation. Everything he’s said and done confirms this. We are at war. It’s time to act like it.

ONTARIO MUST act on Premier Doug Ford’s tough talk on trade. One thing Ford can do immediately is appoint more Agents-General to foreign nations to stimulate non-US international trade. We already have a number of these in the USA and some overseas. More is better. Act now.
